Peter Miller studied music in Nottingham under, among others, Michael Nyman. He published a thesis on ‘The Humouristic Music of Erik Satie’, one of his musical heroes. A brief career as a music teacher ended in the early 80’s, when he formed the comedy double-act the Brighton Bottle Orchestra, which quickly became a permanent fixture on the burgeoning ‘alternative comedy’ circuit; the support acts on their final gig were Steve Coogan and Lee Evans. Peter also made several solo TV appearances demonstrating unusual items as musical instruments and was an original member of Stomp, the internationally acclaimed percussion extravaganza.

Ian Porter
took a Fine Arts degree at Loughborough College and Brighton before embarking on a fulltime music career as a bass player/programmer with, among others, Birds With Ears, Fischer Z, Manfred Mann, Robin ‘M’ Scott, Robert Palmer and Steve Strange and more recently worked with Moloko on their live shows and album Statues. He too performed many times with Stomp and later toured on bass with their spin-off band Yes/No People. He recently reunited with Fischer Z singer John Watts to work on two new albums.
